Charlottesville is a very hip place for music and is the home of the University of Virginia- the largest public university in the United States and founded by Thomas Jefferson! I myself attend Sweet Briar College which is about an hour away, but you should consider paying a visit to here as well. It is a private all-women institution and our campus was named Most Beautiful Campus by the Princeton Review. If you're into aesthetics, you can't beat beautiful landscapes and beautiful women. Aside from this, central Virginia is a hub for young people as there is literally a circle of colleges spaced an hour apart from each other.
